Plane crash, near death and survival…

Growing up on the rural plains of Kenya, Oscar made easy friendships with the people of the Maasai and other local tribes. His passion for all things natural led him to work with several NGO’s in Kenya and South Sudan including Environmental Liaison Centre International in the 70’s along with other environmental pioneers notably Wangari Maathai. Oscar later established his own NGO in Kenya.

Inspired by Osho for many years, Oscar’s personal healing journey took a dramatic turn in January 2008 when a small plane he piloted crashed in the Chyulu Hills; yet he miraculously survived. He has had a long recovery from serious injuries, but has bounced back strongly and continues with incredible energy and many plans.

Oscar has captured the culture and essence of many African cultures with his film making and photography, notably capturing the Dinka the cattle herder tribes of South Sudan and the ancient symbiotic relationship that they have with their cattle and the earth.
